O Christmas cake, O Christmas cake!

Well, it's been long enough! I haven't been on here because I honestly have not made any cakes for some time! I snagged myself a seasonal job at Michaels - how fitting - and I am working 20+ hours at the Airport gift shop, so I am one busy lady this holiday. I did make a simple Harley Davidson cake for my mom's boss, and a few cupcakes, but nothing out of the ordinary - no specialty cakes.

I finally got around to making my good friend Lynsey a birthday/Christmas cake. I have to admit, it's probably one of my favorite ones that I have done so far.

The cake is lemon flavored and filled with sweet lemon pie filling, mm! I frosted it with buttercream and it is decorated with all fondant (sans the candy canes, ha, ha).

Little, mini birthday party at OTL with only the most important of people. I absolutely adore that first picture of Chris and Tanner lighting the cake. I don't know why. There is just something about it.

The best part about making a double layer cake? Leftover batter for cupcakes! Happy 19th Birthday, Lynsey Lou Bear!
